At EpoxyCandy we strive to have our photographers and graphics team get the most accurate color representation possible. Each device may very in the way it dislays color depending on the color calibration on your screen. Using an appropriate calibration device can reduce the variation amount from screen to product. Very rarely have we ever had anyone feel that the colors they ordered are better looking and more vibrant on screen than in person.

Although you may see photographs on our site of products in jars; all our non-liquid items are packaged in bags. Our business model is to offer the best pricing and lowest priced shipping on every order.

Jars increase the price to our customers for several reasons. 1. The cost of the jar plus the shipping and storage of jar. If our product were packed in jars in would require significantly more warehouse space to store our product. 2. Jars break or crack in a mailer. This would require your order to be upgraded to a box. We would not be able to use first class shipping or flat rate padded envelopes. Both these options help us offer the best shipping to you. 3. Jars increase the weight of your order. More weight plus more volume = higher shipping rates and higher product costs for our customers.

Yes! Please send us a message and we can create a special order for you with your product in pretty “retail packaging” jars or containers. This will increase your item cost by $3 per item and add time to prepare your order. All our pigments are packed in bags. Our business model is to offer the best pricing.

Yes, you can return unopen products. If you are unsure about a product we highly recommended that you first purchase a small size of the product you are interested in and create a sample. If you like the product you can then order the product in larger quantities. We are more than happy to answer any questions you may have regarding products before and/or after your purchase. We strive to make the best product we can and offer all the assistance we can to make your relationship with us a great one.

In order to qualify for a return you must return the product unopened within 5 calendar days from the date you received it. Item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. Item must be in the original packaging and you mucst have the receipt or proof of purchase (order information). Returns are not available for opened or used items. Once we receive the item, we will inspect it and notify you that we have received your returned item. We will immediately notify you on the status of your refund after inspecting the item. If your return is approved, we will initiate a refund to your original method of payment. Refunds are processed once approved and a credit will appear on your account depending your card issuer's policies. You will receive the credit minus the ACTUAL cost of delivery (not just the $3 shipping charge) and the processing fees charged via credit card. Ahhh… The fun science behind powder pigments! The micron size dictates how much luster and reflection the metallic has. The higher the micron size the more sparkle the pigment will have but less coverage. We strive to give the most information in each description on each individual color as possible to help you determine which size, color, effect is best for your individual purpose. COLOR EFFECT vs. PARTICLE SIZEParticle Size 15 µm or less = low luster, good opacity power in epoxy (looks almost like a solid paint pigment).Particle Size 2-25 µm = silky luster and strong opacity hiding power in epoxyParticle Size 10-60 µm = pearl luster with medium hiding power (MOST COMON SIZE FOUND IN EPOXY INDUSTRY)Particle Size 10-125 µm = shimmering luster and low hiding power in epoxy (great pearl effect w/ little “glitter” speck)Particle Size 20-150 µm = sparkling luster and transparent (our favorite pearl effect w/ sparkles!)Particle Size 45-500 µm = glittering luster and very transparent (think… bass fishing boat)

Many countries have mica reserves being mined today; United States, China, Canada, Finland, Russia, South Korea, India, France, all produce some sort of product using these materials. When possible, we source all our products from the United States. Mica is found all over the globe. Nearly the world’s entire supply of this abundant mineral is turned into circuit board, electrical insulators or drywall compound. Our suppliers are carefully researched and selected. Our stock of raw materials is sourced from vendors that meet FDA requirements for heavy metal minimums.

Generally an FDA approval would be required if these were marketed for use in cosmetics. This is important because we have found that this is the highest quality, most strict and often guarantees the most responsibly sourced material in the industry. This helps us with quality control as we blend some colors, and tweak sizing before we package for our boutique shop. Any mica powder supplier we source from has fulfilled all the REACH requirements and have the paper trail to document it (email us for information on how to obtain that documentation).
